Seminars

Seminars play a key role in our SuCo experience. They provide you a chance to engage another speaker, another topic(s), in another format. All the seminars are three day seminars. There will be two time slots for seminars and you get to pick one from each slot. We encourage you to stick with your chosen seminars all three days. Below are the descriptions - take a look and start thinking about which one you want to take.

All the Feels

Understanding (and Dealing With) Our Emotions in Light of Our Faith

It doesn’t matter who you are, you have feelings…and you probably would love some help understanding them better. The good news: God created us to feel things. The Bible helps us recognize and process our emotions in a way that honors God and others. So, whether you tend to stuff your feelings, over-analyze them, or ignore them all together, this seminar seeks a path forward rooted in grace, truth, and hope. Come discover how emotions are not a detour from spiritual maturity—but often a doorway into it!

Nehemiah and Leadership

The book of Nehemiah is a story of God redeeming his people. But to accomplish this redemption God uses a Hebrew cup bearer that has been living in exile serving King Artaxerxes. We are going to examine the leadership of Nehemiah to grow as leaders ourselves. This will be a workshop, not a lecture, so come prepared to discuss.

Made for Relationship

In Genesis 2, after God has created Adam, God says “It is not good that man should be alone.” Adam is in the Garden of Eden, experiencing unbroken and soul-satisfying relationship with God - but it is not enough! We were created to be in relationship with God AND in relationship with others. It’s who we are. We are relational creatures. In this seminar, over the course of three days we will look at Biblical principles and wisdom for three types of relationships: friendship (Day 1), dating (Day 2), and parent-child (Day 3).
